Scott Damron - Mission

Hi, this is Scott Damron, and on February 2nd, 2023, he embarked on a bicycle tour with the aim of traveling the whole South American region and more. This site is dedicated to that trip.

He has set up this website as his travel journal for anyone who would like to follow or learn from his journey. It’s very much an ongoing project.

If you have questions, comments, suggestions, corrections, feedback, etc., or need any other help, please feel free to leave him a message on the contact page. He will do his duty to answer them.

So, what inspires me to travel cross-country on a bicycle instead of any other more convenient vehicle? First of all, the freedom of pedaling allows me to stop wherever I want and spend as long as I like at a given location.

This is an excellent way to experience local life. I don’t have to worry about traffic jams or parking fees. And when I am tired at the end of the day, I can park my bike and sleep under the stars.
